【ベトナムでの交流】

ベトナム・ホーチミン市で開催された「日越交流書道展覧会」にて、現地の書家グエンさんと作品を交換し、記念に写真を撮らせていただきました。
言葉は違っても、筆を通して通じ合う心があり、静かな中にも温かな時間が流れました。

私の作品は【一夜賢者の偈】。
「大切なのは、過去を追わず、未来を案じず、今この瞬間を観察し、実践すること」
この言葉には、日々の中で“今を生きる”ことの尊さを伝えたいという想いを込めました。

一方、グエンさんの作品は【幸福】。
「すべての人々が幸せでありますように」という優しさと祈りに満ちた言葉が、力強く、そして穏やかに紙面に表現されていました。

お互いの言葉が通じなくても、「言葉の力」を信じる心は同じ。
国や文化を越えて、書を通じて心が通じ合う瞬間に、書道の持つ普遍的な力を改めて感じました。
この貴重な出会いに心から感謝しています。

【Cultural Exchange in Vietnam】

At the Japan–Vietnam Calligraphy Exchange Exhibition held in Ho Chi Minh City, I exchanged works and took commemorative photos with local calligrapher Mr. Nguyên.
Although our languages were different, our hearts connected through the brush, creating a moment filled with quiet warmth and mutual respect.

My work was titled “The Verse of the Wise Man of the Night.”
“The important thing is not to chase the past or worry about the future, but to observe and practice in this very moment.”
This phrase expresses the value of living in the present and finding peace in each moment of daily life.

Mr. Nguyên’s work was titled “Happiness.”
The phrase “Wishing happiness to all people” was beautifully expressed with both strength and gentleness in his calligraphy.

Even though we did not share a common spoken language, our belief in the “power of words” was shared.
Through calligraphy, we transcended borders and cultures — and I once again felt the universal power of the written word.
I am deeply grateful for this meaningful encounter.
